If you want to play blues or any type of lead, this guage is perfect. The top strings bend flawlessly and they also have a great life. Wouldn't recommend them for rhythm playing, as the top 3 strings are regular steel strings so they do pop out a bit, but for soloing nothing is better. Didn't break or detune much during a gig too
